Hi, I’m Mandy Alas.

I’m the owner of Skye Unlimited Canine Services. I grew up loving animals and always thought I’d become a vet. As I got older, I realized that path wasn’t the right fit for me, but I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to working with animals in some way.

Because my brother and I played very competitive soccer growing up, we were rarely home. As time went on, I got sick… my body could no longer keep up with the demands of competitive soccer. I had to quit, and everything changed.

That’s when I finally got my first dog, Skye. She completely changed my life and introduced me to opportunities I never knew existed. Through her, I discovered the world of dog training and realized my true calling was to work with both dogs and their owners. My life wouldn’t be the same without her.

I value human connection and am passionate about training and providing the best care possible for animals. Training has become an outlet for me. I miss my competitive soccer days, so now I compete in different dog sports with my personal pack.

Getting to teach people how to build deep, understanding relationships with their dogs has been incredibly fulfilling. I love to have fun and include dogs in that fun, so creating new experiences and enrichment opportunities for dogs while they’re boarding with me is something I really enjoy.

My family lives next door to me and is a huge reason I’m able to do what I do. They’ve always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. My pack is the reason behind everything—they’re my lifeline and keep me inspired every day.

I’m dedicated to being a reliable, consistent source of support and care for my clients and their dogs.

Meet My Girls

Skye

My 9 year old German Shepherd has truly transformed my life in ways I could never fully thank her for. She has a phenomenal temperament and has always been a gentle “Mom” to every dog that has lived in my home. She is my steady, dependable constant and a bond that is completely irreplaceable.

Cloud

My 4 year old Siberian Husky. I found Cloud after she had been chained up and abandoned in a backyard a few days before my 21st birthday.

She is a true Husky in the sense that she always has something to say and definitely has an attitude with me! She is atypical for a Husky, though, as she truly lives to please me.

She is what sparked my passion for training. She is a fabulous demo dog and helps all of my incoming dogs get integrated into the pack.

My life would be way too quiet and much less fun without my Cloudy girl.

Fireheart

I got Fi as my first well bred dog. She came from a reputable breeder, as I wanted to do conformation and different sports. She is a 1 year old Beauceron, otherwise known as a French Shepherd.

There aren’t enough words to describe my bond with her. She is my soulmate in dog form and my heart dog. I have never experienced a bond with an animal like the one I have with her.

She is my sport dog. We compete in herding, conformation, obedience & rally, scent work, and bite work. She is the best partner I could have asked for. She challenges me to be a better trainer, and I’m honored to be her handler and to learn alongside her.

She is also a demo dog for me, but her biggest role in the business is being everyone’s BFF!
