The Ones Who Started Stories That Never End
Howard
Howard left us far too soon at just five years old. I had the honor of loving him since he was only three months old.
He was the definition of love with the goofiest, most joyful personality. If you knew Howard, you loved him. He was a little naughty, fiercely loyal, endlessly funny, and always wanted to be as close to me as possible—like he could live in my skin.
I’ve never had a dog that wasn’t my own love me the way he did. He was truly such a huge part of my pack.
Howard spent all five of his Christmases with my family and me, and they will never feel the same without him. I’m so grateful his owners trusted me to be his second person.
He was there through everything—every big moment of my adult life—and I will miss him forever.
I will always honor him in my life and in my business.
Cooper
Cooper came into my life after his owner rescued him from some truly horrible situations. I’ll never forget the day he arrived—he walked right up to my couch and lifted his leg. His owner was horrified, but in a dog household, it was an easy cleanup. Looking back, it perfectly captured who he was—he never took life too seriously.
He had every reason not to trust humans, yet he chose to approach life with a full heart.
Cooper became my best buddy—my partner in crime. He spent the next years of his life by my side, swimming with me, sticking as close as possible, and just being my person in every way. He loved to cover me in smooches and he never left my side. He was my shadow.
I was so honored to be his other person and to be part of giving him the life he always deserved—one full of love, joy, and fun.
Coops was my special boy, and no one will ever fill the space he left in my heart.
